
Dr. Sylvester Braithwaite is a Board Certified, Canadian trained Obstetrician Gynecologist with over 25 years experience in adolescent health care in Canada, West Indies, Europe and the US. He is also a professional speaker and author of the book Teen Spirit; 55 strategies to help parents talk to their teens about sexuality.
He is on the Miami Dade School Board's Speakers Bureau where he is involved in HIV/AIDS presentations and has served on the board of several community organization including, Miami Dade Alliance for Career Education, Alert Health formerly called Hep-C Alert, Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and Parenting Council, the Women Emergency Network and the National Heritage Foundation.
Dr. Braithwaite's mission is to provide accessible, available, and affordable medical care and to disseminate accurate research based information about both abstinence and contraception. His major objective is to prevent unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases especially HIV/AIDS. Dr. Braithwaite's basic message is "education now, babies later, STD's HIV/AIDS never."
